I´ve been giving this a lot of thought lately and I have decided to try this. I quite enjoy stitching on The Postman on tuesdays which have been UFO days. That make me think why not assign a project to each day of the week in a rotation and see how it works. I´ve never used a rotation in my stitching before but think it might keep me motivated. I´m going to give this some time – I´ve put into the rotation some projects that I have been working on for quite a while.
For mondays I´ve decided to work on Mystery X by Chatelaine. This is my first Chatelaine project and I really like how it is progressing. This is a mystery in 12 parts with 1 part published every month. I fell behind with my school work in April and haven´t quite got caught up with it yet but would really like to move further.
For tuesdays I will keep up with working on The Postman. I feel like there isn´t too long before it will be finished and I´ll have a happy dance. Looking back I´ve really enjoyed working on it every week and it has helped me sticking to stitching it.
For wednesdays I have decided to keep it sort of free. I´ll use those days to stitch on any SAL´s and RR´s that I participate in. I´m cutting down drastically on RR´s as I feel they have been taking up a lot of my time lately and I want to stitch some more for myself for a change. If I have no SAL´s or RR´s to work on on wednesdays I´ll just go into my stash and look for something.
For thursdays I want to stitch on my first HAED project – Faery Tales. It has been quite a while since I started it and I love this piece and would like to get it going again. I haven´t stitched much on it already.
For fridays I have a new start for me. I have been wanting to stitch this project for a while and have it already kitted and ready to start. This is Under the Friendship Tree by Mirabilia. It reminds me of me and my best friend and the good memories that we share from our childhood.
For saturdays I am going to finish off a piece that has been sitting in my UFO pile for far too long. It is a Santa Claus pattern (don´t know the name of it) by Bucilla. I started this probably when I was around 20 years old so it´s been a while. I have so little left to finish and I estimate I can finish it in one or two stitching sessions. When that is done I plan on starting a Christmas stocking for my youngest daughter Johanna Brynja.
For sundays I have chosen to work on my Nature´s Home Afghan by Stoney Creek. I started this I guess about 1 and half – 2 years ago. I am not doing this as an afghan though but as a wallhanging. I love working on this but somehow it has taken the backseat for a while.
I plan on putting up an album in my webshots account to show progress every week so if you are interested you can check on me there. I know I´ve been rambling but had to put this down somewhere in writing for me to follow. Wish me good luck. LOL 🙂
