Hello again to you all. We are having wonderful summer weather here in Iceland at the moment. The sun is shining brightly and it is actually warm outside. The girls are outside playing and I thought I’d update my blog while everything is quiet.
My mom is doing better, thank you all for your good wishes. She met with the gastro specialist and he prescribed a new medicine because he thought the one she was taking before was too strong for her. He wants to hear from her again next week to see how she is doing. He was also waiting from the results from the CT scan he did on her stomach, it should be back when she talks to him next week. She is feeling a bit better, she has been introducing some types of food back into her diet and trying to find out what she can eat and what she can’t. She is looking healthier than she has for months now so I’d like to believe that things are improving with her. And I am very happy with that. I guess I won’t be relaxing though until we have the results from the CT scan too.
Last weekend we finished planning our summer holiday trip to England. We have rented a narrowboat for 2 weeks and will be cruising around the canals near Birmingham in August. I am so looking foward to going just hoping the weather will stay dry. We will start our cruise at Napton and will be stopping by in Leamington Spa, Warwick, Birmingham (including a visit to the Cadbury World), spending a day at Drayton Manor (the girls are looking forward to that), Tamworth, Nuneaton, Coventry, Rugby and finally spending 3 nights in London before returning home. I’ve got butterflies in my stomach just writing this down. I am so looking forward to this trip. I’ll start my summer holiday from work at July 14th and won’t return to work until August 28th.
I’ve been stitching quite a lot lately, I finished off a Needle Roll today but I am afraid I can’t show you until it has been received by the owner. 🙂 But I do have a whole lot of stitching pictures to show you and I’ll make another post here in a few minutes with loads of pictures. Just have to pop away and have a cup of coffee and find the camera. LOL See you all in a moment.
