I guess most of you who read my blog know the feeling of receiving a stuffed bubbly envelope in the mail. You feel kind of happy, excited, a little like at christmas time. Yesterday when I arrived home from work I had received a notice that I had two pieces of mail waiting for me at the post office. So off I went to pick it up. There were two bubbly envelopes, both were from exchanges that I had joined.
The first one that I did open up was from my partner of the Needle Roll Exchange at Jayne’s Attic BB. I can’t tell you just yet who sent this beautiful Needle Roll to me as this is a secret exchange and partners will be revealed over the weekend. But I love the Needle Roll that was made for me and sent by ?????. And she even enclosed some perle thread for me in beautiful green and yellow colours. Here is a picture for you all to see.
The other envelope was a big one stuffed full with wonderful stitching stash. This one was my Freebie Exchange via the HOE group. Opening this envelope just left me speachless. It turns out that Jill had me as her receiving partner and she sent me so many great things. She chose to stitch for me a pattern by Helga Mandl called Home is where the heart is and made it into a needle roll. Jill’s stitching is so neat and beautiful and her finishing skills are so wonderful. I love the needle roll she made for me. Here is a picture of it.
But that wasn’t all as Jill enclosed so many extras for me. It left me speachless to receive so many great things from her. She enclosed a card of Piecemaker Needles (my favorites), a spool of Kreinik thread, a kit with aida and threads, a thread counter made by herself, some burgundy ribbon, a JBW apple pattern from my wish list along with the fabric and thread needed to stitch it and a beautiful postcard from Minnesota. Thank you, thank you, thank you Jill for the goodies you sent to me. Here is a pic for you to see.
I packed up my HOE Freebie Exchange that I made and sent it off to the recipient yesterday. It will be crossing the big pond but I hope it won’t take too long to arrive. And I really hope she will enjoy what I have made for you. So, that is some stitching that I can’t show you just yet. 🙂
