I have been stitching some lately and I quite enjoy what I am doing. My stitching and choice of projects has changed a lot over the last months. I’ve also been trying out new ways to finish things and it has given me great self confidence to look at the finished project and think, “Hey, I could do this myself”. It makes me so proud to accomplish this.
Anyway, right now I have finished the stitching on the coffe/tea gift for Chantal. Now comes the finishing and I am thinking of a new way to finish. We’ll see how it works. 🙂 I have also been stitching on a Quaker Mystery SAL that we are doing on the icelandic group Alltikross that I am a member of. I had got behind on that one, but it is my main focus right now to get up to date.
I did finish the last part of the Stitch and Stash New Year RR last friday. This part is for Dusty in USA. This is the final round so now all I have to do is mail off the RR to Dusty and wait for mine to come home. 🙂 Here is a picture of the square I did for Dusty. She decided to have a pattern called Prairie Birds a Prairie Schooler pattern as the theme of her RR. I really enjoyed stitching on it.
I have a small stitched birthday gift travelling across the big ocean so I can’t show that one off until it has reached the destination which will hopefully happen this week. Cross your fingers and toes. 🙂
I hear from Mercy that she finally received the replacement I stitched for her for the HoE Freebie Exchange. I am so happy that my exchange made a safe journey this time. I stitched her a Freebie by Stitchy Kitty and it is called “Woof spoken Here”. You can get the pattern by clicking here. I used some scrap fabric that I had and the DMC threads the pattern called for. Then finished it off as a pinkeep. I snatched the picture off Mercy’s blog, I hope she doesn’t mind. Here it is.
I decided to publish a picture of what I stitched for Mercy originally. This is what got lost on the way to her. It is the first time that a packet that I sent has got lost on the way to its’ destination and I feel really sad about it, but those things can’t be helped. Originally I did stitch a pattern by Ellen Maurer Stroh. It can be found here by joining the EMS message board. This is a scissor keeper and a scissor fob and I decided to make a small needle cushion as well. Here is a picture of it.
I guess I will be pretty busy during the next few days getting everything organised and packed for our holiday that starts on Saturday. We are leaving for England with an early morning flight on Saturday morning. We are trying to find out if we can get connected during our holiday to be able to keep a blog diary of our trip. Still don’t know if it will be possible.
Thanks to everyone still reading, I appreciate your visits to my blog and hope you find some interest in my writing. Hope you all have a wonderful day.
