We started off early as we weren‘t in the best possible mooring. We passed trough Newbold Tunnel on our way to Rugby. We found a lovely mooring spot in Rugby and decided to stop there and visit the town center. On the way into Rugby we came across the first boat that we hired. It was a boat from Viking Afloat with the name Erik. It was quite funny to see it again and it brought back some memories. When we had moored up in Rugby we took the bus into town and spent few hours there looking at some buildings and walking around. When returning to the boat we set off wanting to get as far as the pub Old Royal Oak where they have a great restaurant – The Hungry Horse. We had to go through the last 3 locks in our journey the Hillmorton Locks. When entering the first lock of the three it started raining heavily and Guðrun Maria and I got soaking wet in a very short while. By the time we got through all the three locks I was completely wet from the rain. We got to the pub and had our dinner there, it was fantastic. Here are some pictures from today.
