I haven’t been blogging much as we have been going through a difficult and sad times in our lives. My sister-in-law passed away on August 19th. And a couple of weeks later on September 4th my mother-in-law passed away. We have just returned home from the Vestmannaeyjar where we attended the funeral of my mother-in-law. We spent the weekend there and it was a bittersweet time for us.
I have been keeping occupied in the evenings by stitching. I can’t show you any of my work yet as it is all part of some exchanges that I am participating in. But I promise to show you some pictures when they have arrived in their new homes.
Today I received a lovely package in the mail. It was from Annemiek in the Netherlands and it was a crazy exchange for me. She stitched me this lovely floss tag and enclosed some tea and lovely threads in blue colours for me. I really enjoy the exchange, thank you Annemiek. Here is a picture for you.
I received two other envelopes in the mail that I had to put away and I can’t show you the content until later. They came from Maggie in Australia and Taryn in the USA. They are part of a birthday group that I am a part of and my birthday gifts from them are in the envelopes. So, I have put the envelopes away as I can’t open them until my birthday on October 11th. I can’t wait to open them but I have to be patient. LOL 🙂
