Well, this is the final part of my birthday stash posts. I joined the Stitching Bloggers Birthday Club last year. I had a lot of fun putting together a gift for Carol S. who was my partner. I didn’t know who had me as partner as everything was secret about it. I received a notice last week from the post office that I had a parcel waiting for me that needed to be picked up. I couldn’t make it to the post office until friday. I was very excited to see that the parcel was from Heather and instantly knew it must be via the SBBC. I am still catching my breath after opening the parcel, Heather left me speachless with what she chose for me. Everything was packed so neatly away in a box. When I opened the box I found several packets wrapped in beautiful pink paper. Heather stitched a pattern by “By The Bay” and finished it as a pinkeep for me. It is so beautifully finished. And she hit my wish list big time. I received Summer Snapperland by Bent Creek including the patterns + embellishments for the border and the DMC threads needed to stitch those patterns. (I’ll be getting the fabric for this soon to make a start on this project). And I also received some fabric, 2 tins (I have never done a tin finish so I am looking forward to that), a candle, notepad with a magnet, buttons, small birthday box, needles, a snowman pattern by Prairie Schooler and a bookmark. You really must take a look to see what I am talking about. Heather, thank you ever so much for making my birthday truly special this year. Here are pictures of what was inside the box from Heather.
I have joined the SBBC for 2009 and have already received the name of my partner and am really looking forward to putting together a birthday present for my partner.
