Remember quite a while ago (too long ago) I had a little game on my blog. It was all about tea and coffee and the winner was Chantal in Belgium. I had every intention to send the winning gift to Chantal ages ago but life got in the way somehow and I didn’t send Chantal anything until last week. I received an e-mail from Chantal today to let me know that she had received the coffee/tea prize from me. I stitched her a pattern called “Tea time with Max” a pattern by La Chatelaine Designs. This is a free pattern that can be found here. It was a first time for me to finish something like this (a round pinkeep) and I really enjoyed it. Here is a picture for you all to see.
The fabric was some scrap fabric that I found in my fabric box.
The thread is remains of some hand-dyed thread that I had in my stash.
I have been working on the next project in my rotation since thursday last week. I have not yet completed my time on this project – it is a Quaker Mystery SAL that we did in the Icelandic group. I will be working on it again wednesday – saturday this week and will post a picture when it goes into my box again. I am not too sure how much I will be able to stitch this week though as I will be busy doing other things.
Tonight I will be working on a crazy exchange that I hope to finish next weekend. It is Christmas related and of course I can’t show you a picture yet. I have 2 exchanges in the mail that I will show you as soon as they are in the hands of the lovely ladies receiving them. 🙂
I am planning a birthday party for Hjálmfríður Bríet (my oldest daughter). She will turn 11 years old on friday, November 28th and is going to have a party for some of her friends on Saturday. We will also have some relatives and friends over for coffee and cakes to celebrate with us on Saturday afternoon and in the evening Rúnar and I are going out for Christmas dinner with people from his company. So, I have got busy days ahead of me.
I am hoping to be back with some updates from the UFO stitching on Tuesday night. Hope to see some progress on the Nature’s Home Afghan. Until then, take care and hope you have wonderful days.
