I am back to the blogworld. I’ve had very hectic time during the last weeks. And no time or energy for any more but just work, take care of the family and try to catch some sleep in between.
We had 2 birthday parties for Hjálmfríður Bríet, both parties were fine and Hjálmfríður Bríet had a good time. I can’t believe that my “little” girl is 11 years old already, it seems such a short time since I held her in my hands for the very first time. She has grown into a beautiful little lady who knows what she wants to do. I love her to bits and couldn’t be happier with her.
I had been sick (sort of) the week before Hjálmfríður Bríet had her birthday but kept ignoring it because I “had” to go to work that week as my boss was away on a holiday and I had to fill in for her. I guess I did everthing wrong this week too, took a lot of painkillers to keep me going and in the end I just fell sick so that I had to spent some time in bed. I know, it is not the way to do things but sometimes you keep going even though you know it is not right for yourself. I ended up with a high temperature and spent two whole days in bed doing nothing but sleep and took two days sick leave from work until I got better. In addition to the high temperature I also caught some stomach bug which took longer to shake off. But I am happy to say that I am back to my happy healthy self again and it feels great.
It took a lot of time to feel better though and I haven’t been feeling like stitching for about 3 weeks now. I packed away all my stitching before the birthday party (I keep it on the livingroom table when I stitch) and I haven’t had the energy to get it back. Hope to find my stitching mojo quickly though as I would love to stitch in front of the TV instead of just sleeping. 🙂
I had some exchanges travelling to their owners and they have all arrived at their destination. I stitched 3 ornaments designed by Prairie Schooler. I really enjoyed stitching those ornaments. I made 2 Santa ornaments and one with the house and the birds. Becky and Ina received the Santas and Annemiek received the house and the birds.
And I received an exchange too. I am a member of the Make a Wish BB run by Becky. I made a wish there for a finished tin and Angela in Canada was so kind to grant my wish. Here is a picture of the beautiful tin that she stitched for me. I just love the design she chose and the finishing is so perfect.
Well, I think it is time to say good bye for now. I will really try to update more often but I won’t make a promise. I am surely going to enjoy a long Christmas holiday and spend some quiet time at home with the family just relaxing and stitching, chatting and watching the TV. 🙂
Hope you are all having a great weekend and I am looking forward to you visiting again. 🙂
