The weekend was busy but I managed to finish a small RR that I had started over the weekend. I quite enjoyed stitching on it. I´m just finishing up 2 Round Robins that I am part of and then I limiting myself only to very few RR´s. But here is a picture of the RR that I finished – I am sorry that the picture is a bit blurred.

RR for Jeanette

Yesterday around dinner time the doorbell rang and my oldest girl answered. It was Jona´s DH with a belated birthday gift for me. Here is a picture of the gift before I opened it. I just love the little snowmen. They had a tag on them saying that they were here because the gift was late and they are saying sorry that the gift was late.

From Jona

Inside the package there was a beautiful handmade card, a kit with a carrot picture (perfect for the kitchen), small ornament kit with an angel mitten, some DMC and Baileys sweets (those are yummy – yes I tasted them last night with my coffee). Thank you Jona.

I´ve been keeping myself quite busy since I posted the last time. My holiday is coming to an end soon and I’ll start working again on November 1st, I just realized that it is next week so I´ve been taking care of some things that I needed to sort out before starting work again. Also Johanna Brynja started day care at the beginning of October and she has been adjusting to being there. We´ve had our fair share of ups and downs which I expected. She has been with me since she was born and she even gets upset with her father when I leave. And during the adjustment time she got sick and stayed home for almost a week which wasn´t really helping us. But the last two days of this week were pretty good for us both. I´ll be working at the same day care where she goes so I´ll be seeing her some during the day. I´m looking forward to going back to work and interacting more with grown-ups, I think I really need it at this time. Don´t get me wrong, I have really enjoyed being at home and taking care of the girls and the home but I need being around adults more.

I´ve got a busy saturday ahead of me. My oldest daughter Hjalmfridur Briet is playing in a handball tournament tomorrow morning. She decided to start training handball this autumn. She had been doing ballet since she was 4 years old but decided she didn´t enjoy it any longer. She loves playing handball and we are going to watch her team play tomorrow morning. In the afternoon we are going to listen to Hjalmfridur Briet play the piano at a concert. She also started to learn how to play the piano this autumn and the first concert is tomorrow. I´m looking forward to it.

I have been stitching quite a lot in the evenings. I am trying out a new rotation and it seems to be working. I started out with 2 projects and stitched on them for roughly 10 hours each, now I´ve added one more project and I´ll keep them at 3 projects in my rotation until I have finished the model that I am working on. I quite enjoy the way this rotation is going and can´t wait to have the model all stitched up and ready to send away so that I can start stitching more for myself. I´ve got quite a few charts waiting on the sideline to be started. LOL

I´ve been receiving some more birthday stash and am enclosing a pictures here.

First a gift from Jillan

And from Linda I received this

I´ll most likely be posting a picture of a RR that I am working on in this slot of my roatation. It is almost finished, just a little more backstitching that needs to be done.

Hope you have a lovely weekend and thank you all for reading.

I am still receiving gifts for my birthday. Yesterday the mailman brought me birthday cards and threads from Jayne and Sheila at Jayne´s Attic BB. What lovely colours of the threads – I´m looking forward to using them for a special project. Here is a picture.

Jayne and Sheila

I am stitching quite a lot those days which I really enjoy. I am afraid I can´t show you anything yet as I am working exclusively on a model that I would like to get out of the way before starting some secret Christmas stitching. So, you´ll have to wait. LOL

Sorry I haven´t been posting since my birthday – haven´t really been in the blog mood so I just left it at that. I spent a lovely birthday and I want to show you my new stitching stash that I received for my birthday. First off though, my DH bought me lovely new pair of earrings and from my girls I received lovely hand made gifts which I really love. They make something new for me every year and I really look forward to seeing what they make every year. They are so sweet.

I belong to a Birthday Thread Club at Jayne´s Attic BB and here is a picture of the threads and cards received from Outi and Tracey.

It is my birthday today

Another year has passed and I am again one year older. I stopped counting the years few years back. Runar (DH) is working tonight so last night we had nice meal together and spent a quiet evening. I did bake a couple of cakes yesterday as I am pretty sure my parents and two of my brothers will be over for coffee and cakes this evening. It is only a small birthday so it doesn´t call for big celebrations.

I have been stitching a lot lately but I am afraid I can´t show you what I am stitching at the moment as I am working on yet another model. This time I am working with very beautiful hand dyed fabric and even prettier thread. It will be a beautiful piece when finished.

Hope you all have a lovely day – I know I will. Why don´t you grab a chair and have a seat and taste my cake. Enjoy the party.

I found this while roaming around the Internet tonight. Wanted to post this here are I like this. If you like to read more you can find it here.

Unseen Friend
by Iceman

Although you are a friend of mine
and letters we exchange,
I wouldn’t know you on the street,
and doesn’t that seem strange?

You hold a place within my life,
unusual and unique;
We share ideals and special dreams,
and still, we do not speak.

I picture what I think you are,
perhaps you picture me.
An intriguing game for both of us
for someone we can’t see.

So for this friendship we possess,
we owe this mail a debt,
Perhaps the charm lies in the fact
that we have never met.

You are Justice

Equity, rightness, probity, executive; triumph of the observing side in law.

Justice is about cold, objective balance through reason or natural force. You can’t keep smoking and drinking without consequences to your health. It is the card that advises cutting out waste and insists that you make adjustments, do whatever is necessary to bring things back into balance, physically, emotionally, socially, spiritually. It is a card of balance and harmony; if there is imbalance, the correction may
require recourse to the law.

What Tarot Card are You?
Take the Test to Find Out.
